Small Hinges Swing Big Doors

I recently returned from a vacation at an all-inclusive resort where there was unlimited access to food and drink. For some reason, the resort placed a scale in the bathroom of our room. And for some reason, I decided to weigh myself. I was not happy with the number it showed, and this was before our vacation had begun.

When people learn that I am a strength and conditioning coach, they often assume that I have the whole “diet thing” figured out. And I do eat cleanly during the day. It’s after dinner when the sugar demons make their appearance. I’ve often said that I just need my mouth duct taped from 7PM until morning.

But on a serious note, my blood sugar levels are borderline, and I have been working with my doctor’s office to improve them. So, I began to work on my diet after Thanksgiving. I initially thought trying to do this during the holidays would doom me to failure. But then I realized that by making a start now I have a baseline to return to when I slip up during the “holiday eating season.”

Maybe you’re wondering what this has to do with you. I’m sharing my experience to get you moving forward NOW on your exercise/ diet plan. Don’t wait until the January rush when commercial gyms are overcrowded and you are getting overwhelmed by weight loss ads on TV. The answer is simple: Get moving now! If I can help you get started, please reach out.
